Founded in 1993, the Università Campus Bio-Medico di Roma (UCBM) was established with a vision to place the human person at the heart of biomedical sciences, grounded in humanity. The University integrates education, research, and patient care, offering students rigorous academic and professional studies through interdisciplinary collaboration to advance science in service to humanity.
Founding partners, Tom Panza and Suzie Maurer, were privileged to be invited to and explore the University, its offerings and meet with its professional staff and students. At the core of the University’s mission is its partnership with the Campus Bio-Medico University Hospital, where the principles of compassion and service are intertwined with patient care. This collaboration provides a dynamic environment for medical innovation and holistic learning in the study and treatment of disease and care for the aging population.
In 2015, the Campus Bio-Medico University of Rome Foundation was established as a non-profit organization to support the University’s mission. Under the leadership of Honorary President Professor Paolo Arullani, the Foundation promotes scientific research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and long-term sustainability through an Endowment Fund modeled after leading global universities. Its work focuses particularly on projects benefiting the elderly and vulnerable populations.
