Robert M. Bulfin

Bob Bulfin is a seasoned transactional attorney whose practice focuses on commercial transactions, real estate, and business ventures across a wide range of industries throughout South Florida.  With almost 50 years of experience, Bob represents individuals, investors, and business owners in complex matters involving corporate structuring, real estate acquisitions and sales, commercial leasing, licensing, and permitting.

Contract Law

Bob’s primary focus is contract law, where he provides comprehensive counsel on drafting, negotiating, and enforcing various business agreements. These include purchase and sale agreements, real estate contracts, commercial leases, service agreements, operating and partnership agreements, and licensing deals. He is known for his ability to anticipate risk, structure favorable terms, provide counsel on corporate practices, and settle disputes.

Corporate Structuring & Agreements

Bob also has extensive experience structuring corporate agreements, supporting sound governance, and business growth. This includes forming and advising corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships, and joint ventures. He assists clients with shareholder agreements, operating agreements, buy-sell arrangements, and corporate resolutions, all tailored to meet the business’s and its stakeholders’ unique needs. Whether advising startups or established enterprises, Bob focuses on practical, forward-thinking solutions that align legal structure with long-term strategic planning.

Labor and Employment

Bob has defended his corporate clients against EEOC and employment discrimination claims, ADA matters, unfair wages, and other governmental and private claims.

Estate Planning & Wills

In addition to transactional and business work, Bob provides trusted counsel on estate planning matters. He assists individuals and families with drafting wills, establishing revocable and irrevocable trusts, creating durable powers of attorney, and preparing advance healthcare directives.

Education and Background

Since joining Panza Maurer in 2016, Bob has also represented clients in the fields of health care, real estate development, medical marijuana licensing, and corporate sales and acquisitions. He has counseled not-for-profits in organizational, contractual, and real estate matters.

Bob is admitted to the Florida Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He is a member of the Business Law, General Practice, and Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections of the Florida Bar. He is also a Broward County Bar Association member and served as Co-Chair of the Professionalism Committee from July 2014 through June 2016. He is a past President and a current board member of the St. Thomas More Society of South Florida (a society of Catholic lawyers and judges whose mission is to enhance the principled practice of law in the community). In addition, Mr. Bulfin was appointed by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors Association to serve on its joint Realtor-Attorney Committee from June 2014 to June 2016. He is also a past President of the Notre Dame Club of Fort Lauderdale.

Bob earned his B.A. in Government from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 and his J.D. from Loyola University of Chicago Law School in 1976.
