Benjamin P. Bean
Benjamin Bean is a seasoned business litigator with a focus on resolving business contract disputes in both state and federal courts.
Ben is a litigator and legal advisor who provides general counsel services to Florida businesses, with a primary focus on litigation in both state and federal courts. He represents clients in complex disputes across multiple jurisdictions, including commercial litigation, employment law, intellectual property, and corporate matters. His broad legal knowledge enables him to offer comprehensive support to clients ranging from emerging businesses to established companies.
Whether through trial, mediation, or negotiated settlement, Ben is known for achieving favorable outcomes by combining sharp legal analysis with a practical, business-minded approach. In addition to his litigation work, Ben serves as general counsel to a variety of Florida entities, offering strategic legal guidance on corporate governance, compliance, risk management, and contract negotiations. His ability to blend legal insight with real-world business understanding allows him to help clients navigate legal challenges while advancing their organizational goals.
Community Leadership
Outside of the courtroom, Ben remains active in the community. He is a current member of the University of Michigan Alumni Club of Miami-Fort Lauderdale. He has also contributed to local civic efforts as a member of the City of Fort Lauderdale’s Community Services Board, where he helped evaluate and advise on funding allocations for social service programs and Community Development Block Grants. Ben previously served on the Young Leadership Council Steering Committee for Gilda’s Club South Florida, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
Education and Background
Ben earned his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 2009, where he was the executive editor of the International and Comparative Law Review. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Michigan in 2004.
Ben’s professional accomplishments have been recognized widely. He was profiled as a “Rising Star” by Attorney at Law Magazine, named one of the “40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida” by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, listed as an “Up and Comer” by Florida Trend magazine, and recognized as a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers. Most recently, Ben has been recognized in the 2026 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for his work in the field of Commercial Litigation.
Ben is a member of the Florida Bar and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida.
