Jason D. Winn

Jason has extensive experience defending licensed professionals in administrative proceedings before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, state departments, and professional licensing boards. He also advises governmental entities on employment issues, regulatory compliance, executive orders, administrative procedures, contractual matters, and implementation of newly enacted Florida legislation.

Jason is a frequent lecturer throughout Florida on the laws and administrative rules governing healthcare professionals. He regularly presents on legal and regulatory issues affecting osteopathic physicians, allopathic physicians, podiatric physicians, and other licensed healthcare providers, with an emphasis on professional licensure, regulatory compliance, and developments in Florida law.

Jason serves as General Counsel to several statewide professional organizations, providing strategic legal guidance on governance, regulatory compliance, legislative matters, and day-to-day operations. Jason currently serves as General Counsel for:

• Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA)
• Florida Podiatric Medical Association (FPMA)
• Florida Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Foundation (PDMPF)
• Gadsden County Sheriff's Office
• Wakulla County Sheriff's Office
• Florida Hearing Society, where he serves as General Counsel and Executive Director

Jason counsels local governments and law enforcement agencies on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues, including employment matters, administrative procedures, contract review, policy development, compliance with executive orders, and implementation of new Florida laws. His background as both an attorney and lobbyist allows him to provide clients with practical guidance on legislative and governmental matters affecting their organizations.

Jason has been recognized for his leadership in government relations and advocacy, including:

Jason is an active member of The Florida Bar, including the Administrative Law, Health Law, and Government Lawyer Sections. He is also a member of the Tallahassee Bar, the Florida Association of Police Attorneys, and the Florida Sheriffs Association. He is committed to serving his community through volunteer legal work with Legal Services of North Florida and the Wakulla County Senior Citizens Center. In 2003, Governor Jeb Bush appointed Jason to serve a one-year term on the Judicial Nominating Commission for Judges of Compensation Claims.
