Ivania Teran is an Associate Attorney whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, employment law, regulatory compliance, and corporate matters in both state and federal courts.
Education & Background
Ivania earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, where she was named Student of the Year during her final year. Ivania earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, magna cum laude, from Florida International University.
Before joining Panza, Maurer & Maynard, Ivania interned for the Honorable Denise Martinez-Scanziani of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, where she gained firsthand insight into judicial decision-making and court procedure. Before law school, she served in the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning of a prominent South Florida university, earning both the SACSCOC Candidacy Award and the SACSCOC Power Award for her leadership and contributions to the university’s accreditation efforts.
During law school, Ivania was a consistent Dean's List honoree in addition to completing the Dispute Resolution Clinic while serving in multiple leadership roles. She served as President of the Student Bar Association, Managing Editor for the Nova Law Review, Executive Board Member for the Board of Advocates—a merger of the NSU’s mock trial organization and its Moot Court Honor Society—where she competed nationally. Ivania also earned the Best Brief Award in the Moot Court Honor Society’s Intramural Competition. Additionally, Ivania served as the Vice President of the Evening Law Students Association and as a Student Board of Trustee member within NSU’s elite President’s 64 organization while working as a teaching assistant for Associate Dean Timothy Arcaro.
Ivania is fluent in Spanish and is an active member of the local Southeast Florida community where she volunteers her time mentoring younger individuals who seek to follow in her footsteps.
