Richard
A. Beauchamp
Richard A. Beauchamp is an A.V. rated member of the Florida Bar. He is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and has
resided in Florida since 1975. Mr. Beauchamp began his professional
experience in the areas of commercial and construction litigation,
personal injury litigation, real estate, insurance, and general
liability litigation. After maintaining a successful private practice
as a sole practitioner concentrating in areas of insurance, real
estate, personal injury, governmental entity liability and products
liability litigation, Mr. Beauchamp joined Panza, Maurer & Maynard.
Mr. Beauchamp earned his B.A. from Stetson University in 1982,
and a J.D. from Stetson College of Law in 1984. He has practiced
law in the state of Florida since 1985 and is a Martindale Hubbell
A.V. rated member of The Florida Bar. Mr. Beauchamp is also a member
of the District of Columbia Bar, the Pennsylvania Bar, and is admitted
to practice before the United States District Courts of Appeal
for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, and
the United States Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Beauchamp
is also a member of the Labor and Employment Law, Trial Law, Business
Law and Real Property, Probate, Trust Law Sections of The Florida
Bar.
Mr. Beauchamp further practices in the areas of educators' liability,
civil rights litigation, commercial and business disputes, nursing
home/medical malpractice litigation, and employment litigation,
where he has represented employees and employers in connection
with state and federal harassment, discrimination, and retaliation
claims, and has represented employers in E.E.O.C. proceedings,
internal employee grievance matters, as well as Whistle Blower
claims.
Mr. Beauchamp’s practice includes the representation of one of
the largest private universities and some of the largest school
systems in the nation, as well as representing one of the largest
accredited law enforcement agencies in the country. Mr. Beauchamp
has handled multi-million dollar class action litigation, mass
professional liability litigation, and business disputes involving
both large, national corporations and smaller, local interests.
Since joining Panza, Maurer & Maynard, Mr. Beauchamp has also
headed the firm's division handling the statewide defense of nursing
home and rehabilitation hospital litigation matters.
Mr. Beauchamp also has extensive experience in appellate proceedings,
having represented clients in the filing of briefs and the presentation
of oral argument in the various district courts of appeal of the
state of Florida and before the United States Eleventh Circuit
Court of Appeals. Mr. Beauchamp also has experience in Federal
Tort Claim Act and Suits in Admiralty Act matters.
Mr. Beauchamp lives in Broward County, Florida, is married to Victoria
Beauchamp and has two children.
