Justin Senior, was named Secretary of Agency for Healthcare Administration, (AHCA). On September 21st, 2016, Panza Maurer Attorneys attended the Broward County Chapter of the Red Cross for the Dine & Dock VIP Celebrity Auction and 2016 Humanitarian Awards at the Hyatt Pier 66. All proceeds raised from the event benefit the American Red Cross aiding in our response to local disasters, ranging from home fires that affect a single family to hurricanes that affect tens of thousands. In these events, the Red Cross provides shelter, food, and comfort to assist families and entire communities in their time of need.

The Advisory Board for the Upsilon Delta Chapter of Chi Omega at the University of Miami selects Attorney Elizabeth Pedersen to serve on it’s Advisory Board. In June of 2016, Ms. Pedersen attended the group’s bi-annual National Convention in Orlando, Florida to elect national officers and conduct organization business. The four day convention also included leadership training in team project engeament and delegation, mentoring, and social media pitfalls on collegiate campuses, amongst other topics. Ms. Pedersen chooses to serve on the advisory board as an opportunity to mentor and contribute to the educational and personal growth of collegiate women. Ms. Pedersen was initiated into Chi Omega at the Tulane University in 1997.
Angelina Gonzalez and Susan Maurer attended the Broward County Medical Association (BCMA) Women Physicians Networking Event on May 11, 2016. Mrs. Maurer was the featured speaker. The Turquoise Takeover campaign of the American Lung Association had its annual luncheon to kickoff national Women’s Lung Health Week on Tuesday, May 10th. One of the featured speakers, Jacqueline Redmond, a local lung cancer patient of VITAS Healthcare, shared her compelling story of resolve, determination and hope.
